Olympic Games
En cinco oportunidades el polo fue incluido en el programen a de los juegos Olímpicos, su primer participación fue en los juegos de Paris 1900 donde el oro fue para el equipo mixto The Foxhunters Hurlingham (2 Británicos y 2 Norteamericanos). Luego de una pausa retorno en Londres 1908, donde participaron 3 equipos del Reino Unido y el Oro fue para el quipo de Roehampton, en los juegos de Amberes 1920 los Británicos volvieron a obtener el Oro tras ganar el cuadrangular disputado con las representaciones de Bélgica, España y Estado Unidos. En París 1924 los argentinos obtuvieron su primer medalla de oro, repitiendo en Berlín 1936 desde entonces el polo fue excluido de los juegos hasta la actualidad en que si bien es considerado como deporte olímpico no se lo ha incluido en el programa.
Olympic Games
Polo has been featured in five Olympic games to date. First appearing in the games of Paris in 1900, where the mixed team, called The Hurlingham Foxhunters, consisted of two British and two North American polo players. In London 1908, three teams from the United Kingdom participated. The gold medal was awarded to the team of Roehampton. In the games of Antwerp 1920, the British won the gold medal after winning the quadrangular, whichdisputed with the representations of Belgium, Spain and United States. In Paris 1924, the Argentines won their first gold medal, repeating in Berlin 1936. Since then, polo has been excluded from the Games. Today, it is considered an Olympic sport, but it has not been included in the program.
